Radionette Norsk Radiofabrikk AS (“Radionette Norwegian Radio Manufacturing Co.”). Founded by Jan Wessel (1903-80). Started here 1927 in ​​the maid's room on the 4th floor. Produced Europe’s first AC-powered radio. The factory moved in 1928. Closed 1978.

industrial history.

Production moved from the maid’s room as early as the beginning of 1928. In the following years, the business moved to a number of locations in Oslo. In 1950, the first Kurèr travel radio was launched, the models were produced for 20 years and exported on a large scale. The factory was inaugurated in Sandvika in 1968. In 1978, it was over. The trademark Radionette has been taken over by others and is still in use.
