1. Claude Alexis Malan Marker

Inscription. Claude Alexis Malan was a well known Ogden builder stonemason and owner of the Mount Ogden Stone and Marble works. He built all of the sandstone entrances, marque and the wall with the original name of Weber College in front of Weber State University. This plaque is donated in his honor and memory by his wife, Asta and their children, Margaret, Ben, Ned, Tim and Claudia. May the faculty, students of Weber State University and the citizens of Ogden forever enjoy this beautiful sandstone architecture.
