Inscription.  German:
Spätgotische Vierflügelanlage mit Renaissancearkaden im Innenhof (1573). Eckturm und Wohntrakt um 1300. Ab 1441 Stadtwaage, später sog. „Herrentrinkstube“ (patrizisches Gesellschaftshaus). 1541 fand hier das berühmte Religionsgespräch zwischen Johannes Eck und Philipp Melanchthon statt. Ab 1782 reichsstädtische Bibliothek. Heute Sitz des Verwaltungsgerichts.

English Translation:
Late Gothic four-wing complex with Renaissance arcades in the courtyard (1573). Corner tower and residential wing from around 1300. From 1441 city weigh house, later known as the “Herrentrinkstube” (patrician society house). In 1541, the famous religious disputation between Johannes Eck and Philipp Melanchthon took place here. From 1782, it served as the imperial city library. Today it houses the Administrative Court.
