Inscription.  German:
Ehemalige Spitalkirche, die 1445 für das Bruderhaus, eine Stiftung der Regensburger Bürger Stephan Notangst (1419) und Hans Kastenmeier (1437) zugunsten alter und kranker Handwerker errichtet wurde. Ursprünglich dem HI. Ignatius gewidmet, wurde die Kirche nach Einführung der Reformation für den evangelischen Gottesdienst bestimmt. Ihre heutige Gestalt erhielt sie durch Umbau und Erweiterung 1622/23. Bei einem weiteren Umbau 1693 wurde der dreigeschossige Dachstuhl als Warenspeicher aufgesetzt. Renoviert 1997/98.

English Translation:
Former hospital church, built in 1445 for the Bruderhaus, a foundation of the Regensburg citizens Stephan Notangst (1419) and Hans Kastenmeier (1437) for the benefit of elderly and sick craftsmen. Originally dedicated to St. Ignatius, the church was designated for Protestant worship following the introduction of the Reformation. Its current form was shaped by renovations and expansions in 1622/23. During another renovation in 1693, the three-story roof structure was added as a goods storage. Renovated in 1997/98.
