Van 1650 tot 1924 was hier een Bank van Lening ofwel een lommerd gevestigd. Tussen 1972 en 1978 werd de kapel ingrijpend gerestaureerd. Tijdens deze werkzaamheden werden 80 cm onder het straatniveau funderingen van ronde ovens aangetroffen. Mogelijk gebruikten de lakenwevers die ovens voor het koken van verfstoffen. In de bestrating voor de kapel zijn de contouren van deze ovens aangegeven. Tegenwoordig heeft de kapel een culturele functie.
This chapel was part of the St. Agnes Monastery, which was founded around 1450. After the Reformation, the monastery was demolished, but the chapel was preserved. At first, the chapel served as a workshop for the manufacturing of cloth.
From 1650 to 1924, a pawn shop was located here. Between 1972 and 1978, the chapel was extensively restored. During this work, foundations of round ovens were found 80 cm
