English Translation:
Built in 1319, formerly an inn. In 1586 owned by Leonhard Manner, innkeeper and mayor. His coat of arms is in the cemetery church. In 1634, during the Thirty Years' War, the upper floors burned down — the ground floor remains preserved to this day. For 50 years it remained a fire site. In 1684, an apothecary opened here. From 1851 to 1857, it housed the first postal dispatch office. In 1929, Carl Ries was the pharmacist here. In 1939, Eugen Ries succeeded him as pharmacist. The Stadtapotheke is the oldest pharmacy in the Upper Palatinate, founded in 1405.
