1. American Legion Memorial Marker

Inscription. In 1947 the American Legion Auxiliary Post 247 erected this memorial to honor the sacrifice of 47 brave Park Ridge men who lost their lives in World War II and placed it on the median strip of Devon Avenue.

It was relocated to this site by the Spirit of '45 Committee and re-dedicated on August 15, 2015 in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII.

3. World War II Memorial

The original memorial is immediately right of the newer one. It was moved from the Devon Avenue median just west of Prospect Avenue to this spot, about 250 yards away, in 2015.
