Inscription.  German:
Hier stand das Torwärterhäusl mit Gemeindebackofen, 1440 erbaut, 1909 abgebrochen. Der Torwärter überwachte den Einlass, trieb Maut ein, verlangte die Pestpässe, öffnete und schloss das Tor.

English :
Here stood the gatekeeper's house with a communal oven. Built in 1440, demolished in 1909. The gatekeeper monitored entry, collected tolls, demanded plague passes, and opened and closed the gate.
