Inscription.  German:
1144 Gründung der Pfarrei und des Marktes Auerbach durch Bischof Egilbert von Bamberg (1139 - 1146). Pfarrhof nach dem Hussiteneinfall (1430) mit einer Wehrmauer umgeben. 1842 heutiges Pfarrhaus, 1988/89 renoviert und umgebaut.

English Translation:
In 1144, the parish and market town of Auerbach were founded by Bishop Egilbert of Bamberg (1139–1146). After the Hussite invasion in 1430, the parish house was surrounded by a defensive wall. The present rectory was built in 1842 and renovated and remodeled in 1988/89.
