2. He was a scribe to the Prophet.
3. He mortgaged part of his farm to pay $3,000.00 to print the first 5,000 copies of the Book of Mormon.
4. He was one of the 3 witnesses of the divinity of the Book of Mormon.
5. He held in his hands the Golden Plates, saw an Angel, and heard the voice of God.
6 In 1831 He went to Missouri with the Prophet & others. Jackson Co was designated as the gathering place of the Saints. A site for the building of a temple was selected & dedicated.
7. He was sustained a member of the Kirtland High Council in 1834.
8. Under the direction of the Prophet he assisted Oliver Cowdery & David Whitmer in selecting members of the 1st Quorum of twelve Apostles.
9.He remained steadfast in his testimony
10. He died at Clarkston, Utah. July 10, 1875
