Budova gymnázia byla v letech 1828-1830 postavena na místě původní latinské školy podle návrhu chebského architekta Vincence Pröckla. Jedná se o volně stojící dvoupatrový dům o devíti osách se západním empírovým průčelím do Kostelního náměstí. Po 2. světové válce byl objekt opraven a je stále využíván jako škola.
Altes Gymnasium Nr. 185
Das Gebäude des Gymnasiums wurde in den Jahren 1828-1830 an der Stelle der ursprünglichen lateinischen Schule nach einem Entwurf des Egerer Architekten Vinzenz Pröckl errichtet. Es handelt sich um ein freistehendes, zweigeschossiges Haus mit neun Achsen, mit westlicher Hauptfassade im Empirestil zum Kirchenplatz (Kostelni náměstí). Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde das Objekt instand gesetzt, indem es immer noch als Schule genutzt wird.
Old grammar school no. 185
The grammar school building was built on the site of the original Latin school between 1828 and 1830 based on the design of Cheb architect Vincent Pröckl. This is a free-standing, three-storey building with nine axes and a western Empire frontage into Kostelní náměstí. The building was repaired after the Second World War and is still used as a school.
