Grünerův dům č. p. 478
Roku 1713 byl postaven na místě dvou starších gotických, renesančně upravených domů patrně jeden z prvních barokních domů Chebu, jehož autor byl pravděpodobně ovlivněn slavným architektem G. B. Alliprandim. Velmi pozoruhodný je vstupní portál postranní dvojité pilastry nesou štít se segmentovým obloukem, pod ním je umístěna erbovní kartuše Werndlů v měkkém akantovém rámu z tesaného kamene, okolo pásový štuk. Nadsvětlík zdobí masité akantové šlahouny. Tato kvalitní štukatérská a kamenická práce se opakuje u oken prvního patra. Strmá střecha je rytmizována třemi řadami plochých vikýřů, větrajících několikapatrovou půdu sloužící původně jako sklady obchodního zboží. V 1. patře je místnost s bohatou štukovou výzdobou stropu a místnosti s lunetovou klenbou s nízkými hřebínky. Dům je nazvaný podle někdejšího majitele Josepha Sebastiana Grünera, kterého v domě navštěvoval Johann Wolfgang Goethe.

Im Jahre 1713 wurde an der Stelle zweier älterer gotischer, im Renaissancestil umgebauter Häuser wahrscheinlich eines der ersten Barockhäuser in Eger (Cheb) erbaut, dessen Autor aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach unter dem Einfluss des berühmten Architekten G. B. Alliprandi stand. Äußerst bemerkenswert ist das Eingangsportal - die seitlichen, doppelten Pilaster tragen einen Giebel mit einem Segmentbogen, darunter befindet sich die Wappenkartusche der Werndls in flachem Akanthus-Rahmen aus gemeißeltem Stein, darum herum Bandstuck. Das Oberlicht wird von fleischigen Akanthus-Ranken geschmückt. Diese hochwertige Stuckateur- und Steinmetzarbeit wiederholt sich bei den Fenstern des ersten Stocks. Das steile Dach ist durch drei Reihen flacher Erker rhythmisiert, die den mehrstöckigen Dachboden lüften, der ursprünglich als Lager für Handelsware diente. Im 1. Stock ein Raum mit reicher Stuckverzierung der Decke und Räume mit Lünettengewölbe mit flachen Kammverzierungen. Das Haus ist nach dem einstigen Besitzer Joseph Sebastian Grüner benannt, den im Haus Johann Wolfgang Goethe besuchte.
