Moreland Hills in Cuyahoga County, Ohio — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
1850s One Room Schoolhouse
Our one room schoolhouse has been standing on this knoll in close proximity to the old Garfield Farm since the late 1850s. The Village of Moreland Hills, carved from the old Orange Township in 1929, held its first meeting in the home of Mayor Frank Lynch. Meetings continued in the homes of mayors and councilmen until July 1, 1932, when this schoolhouse became the home of the Moreland Hills Village Council.
