Inscription.
James Abram Garfield, 20th President of the United States, was born on this land in 1831. He was the last president to be born in a log cabin. The Birthplace Park in Moreland Hills is where his story begins. Follow the path Ό mile to the site of the original Garfield cabin and farm.

James held a deep affection for the place in which he grew up. In his diary, he wrote, “It is my Greenwich where all the world is exactly in its right place.
