Finding His Voice at Pulpit Rock
A quarter of a mile from his home, young James climbed to the top of a high ledge of broken rocks in the woods, and from its summit he delivered impromptu speeches.
The trees and stones were his audience, and in his imagination they listened and applauded. He called that place Pulpit Rock.
