Giorgio Beverly Hills, created by Fred Hayman and George Grant, originally opened in 1961 at this site. The first luxury boutique to be found on Rodeo Drive, its name was derived from Grant's first name. Giorgio Beverly Hills introduced the west coast to international trend-setting designers and catered to world-famous celebrities and socialites. The store used a signature yellow and white striped awning on the facade that came to symbolize the glamorous Beverly Hills lifestyle and established Rodeo Drive as a shopping destination of renown.

pool table, and oak bar with full-time bartender so that men could entertain themselves while the women shopped. Customers included Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Ross, Nancy Reagan, Princess Grace, and Natalie Wood. In 1997, a branch of Louis Vuitton moved to this location.
