Doerr - Zoellner Building. . Lot 33 of the original town of Perryville was transferred by the Commissioners of Perryville to Isidore Moore in 1823. Not much is known of the early years, but Louis Doerr had his store here in 1895, and the building was widely known as the Louis Doerr Building. After 1900 the building was known as the Zoellner Building, hosting "Lappa and Voelker Dressmakers", The East Side Grocery, and Deimund Shoemakers. It was then the brothers A.H. and J.J. Zoellner opened first a grocery; then a furniture store here. They eventually started Zoellner Brothers Undertaking Company at this location. This began a long history in the local undertaking business. The Zoellners teamed up with Edward C. Young, then becoming known as Zoellner and Young. After Zoellner and Young moved to the south side of the square, the building was occupied by a slew of tavern owners, known over the years as Fritz and Glen's, Layton's Tavern, Old Timers, Tavern, The Place, and Bobo's. After being closed for some time, the building was renovated for use as a spa known as Body Treats. In 2024, the building became the location of HSB Advisors, an accounting firm. ,
