1. Sorenson's Auto Court Marker

Inscription. On this site was Sorenson’s Auto Court and the first service station in Sisters. It was built about 1924 when more automobiles were coming through town. Chris Sorenson kept adding motel units with attached carports in a U-shape around the Shell station until he had 15 “modern cabins”. The family home was also moved here. After his death in 1940, his wife Mary continued to operate the business until 1966.
