After 4 year U.S. Navy career (1942-45), joined N.Y. Yankees running tryout camps throughout the east.
After 1947 stint on Newark Bears (I.L.) staff, spent 1948-49 as Business Manager of successful Norfolk Tars operation.
Outstanding General Manager in Yankee system (1950-59) at Amsterdam, N.Y., West Palm Beach, FLA., Schenectady, N.Y. and Richmond, VA. in the International League.
Record of achievements brought him post as Yankee Traveling Secretary (1960-72) during exciting years including 5 World Series appearances.
Opted for position as General Manager at Ft. Lauderdale in 1973, then semi-retired to run Yankees Spring Training stadium operations for many seasons, residing in Ocala, FLA.

Regarding Bruce Henry. The Tidewater Baseball Shrine recognizes players and executives who have significantly contributed to the game of baseball in the Tidewater area of Virginia.
