Dům Martini č. p. 472
Významná barokní stavba s dochovanými zbytky starší stavby z poloviny 15. století se strmou střechou rytmizovanou čtyřmi řadami vikýřů. Průčelí domu je zvýrazněné jemně profilovanými kamennými okenními rámy s postranními střapci. Nad mohutným portálem je kamenná erbovní kartuš rodu Martini datovaná rokem 1707. Vyřezávaný hrázděný vikýř s dveřmi v podlaze, s výtahovým navijákem a vratidlem na půdě, sloužil k vyzdvihování zboží do podstřešních skladišť čtyřpatrové půdy. V roce 1755 byla do tohoto domu přenesena chebská pošta a poštovní úřad zde fungoval téměř 130 let.

Bedeutender Barockbau mit erhaltenen Resten des älteren Bauwerkes aus der Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts mit steilem Dach, das durch vier Erkerreihen rhythmisiert wird. die steinerne Wappenkartusche des Geschlechts Martini, datiert mit dem Jahre 1707. Der geschnitzte Fachwerkerker mit zwei Türen im Fußboden, mit einer Seilwinde und mit einem Spill auf dem Boden diente zum Hochhieven der Güter in die Dachlagerräume des viergeschossigen Dachbodens. Im Jahre 1755 wurde in dieses Haus das Egerer Postamt verlegt, das hier fast 130 Jahre seinen Sitz hatte.

The Martini house no. 472
A prominent Baroque structure with the preserved remnants of an older building dating back to the middle of the 15th century. with steep roof rhythmically arranged with four rows of dormers. The frontage of the building is highlighted with delicately profiled stone window frames with side fringes. A stone, armorial cartouche of the Martini family that is dated 1707 stands above the mighty portal. The engraved, half-timbered dormer with door in the floor, elevator winch and wrench in the attic was used to hoist goods up to the storage areas of the four-floor attic space. The Cheb post office was moved to this building in 1755 and remained here for almost 130 years.
