1. Calcott-Walker House - Marker

Inscription. This imposing Italianate style brick home was built for James Calcott who used it for a rental property, an early tenant being John H. Thompson, proprietor of the Thorold Post and publisher of the 1897 Jubilee History of Thorold. The house was bought by David Walker (Walker Industries) in 1912 and stayed in the Walker family until 1953. In 1938 architect Robert MacBeth carried out Colonial Revival style renovations.

Erected 2014 by Heritage Thorold.
