Inscription. New York native had career spanning nearly 60 years as a player, manager, scout and club executive.

Catcher with the Yankees and Pittsburgh, Skiff was Playing Manager of 1934 Piedmont League Champion Norfolk Tars when baseball was revived here.

Managed in AAA at Seattle (5 years), Newark and Kansas City, with 1st Division finishes in all but one season.

As Scout and Farm System Supervisor, was instrumental in building Yankee dynasties of 1950’s and 1960’s.
