Inscription.

The country club opened as a 9-hole course in 1898 under the ownership of the Bethlehem Park Association. The original club house was located at the corner of Park Avenue and Pine Street. The course was redesigned as an 18-hole course by famed golf course architect Donald Ross in 1909. This was his first design in New Hampshire and only his third effort in New England. The current club house was built in 1912 by Sylvanus D. Morgan with the most up-to-date equipment, including locker rooms for both women and men. In the 1920's, the club became the Bethlehem Golf and Tennis Club with 4 tennis courts installed just below the club house. During the depression and war years, the country club struggled. In 1949, the club was purchased by the town of Bethlehem. It was run as a municipal golf course until 2020 when it was sold.
