1. William Winfield (Win) Clark Marker
Inscription. Player, Manager, Umpire, Scout, League President and Club Executive in career that spanned 65 years. Broke into organized ball in 1894 with Newport News. Player-Manager of Portsmouth in 1900 when immortal Christy Mathewson pitched for Norfolk.

Also Player-Manager of Norfolk Tars. Director of Athletics at Norfolk Naval Base 1918-1921. Considered father of Professional Players Association. One of most beloved men in Minor League history.
