Inscription. The Gemini VIII patch is the only NASA mission with Armstrong's name as a crew member. The two twin stars of Castor and Pollux represent the Zodiac sign of Gemini. Their light is radiated through a prism which creates a rainbow that spells out the sign of Gemini and the roman numerals for eight. The rainbow signifies how the mission had a wide range - or full spectrum of goals. The Gemini VIII spacecraft has been on display in Wapakoneta since the museum's opening in 1972.
