1. The Johnson Farmhouse Marker

Inscription. This farmhouse was built in several sections, each at different times. When John T. Johnson bought the land in the 1850s, a four-room log cabin stood here. Over the next 70 years, the family added porches, a dining room, a kitchen, clapboard siding, and a tin roof.

In 1974, the house was restored to its 1920s appearance. The furnishings where chosen based on information provided by the family and former community residents.
