1. 2001 - present day Dufferin Aggregates Acton Quarry Marker

Inscription. Shortly after taking ownership of the Acton Quarry in late 2001, Dufferin Aggregates made a number of operational improvements and accelerated progressive rehabilitation. Today, rock quarried on the site is crushed and graded to produce high quality crushed stone and then shipped by truck to the many locations in and around the Acton, Georgetown and north Brampton areas. The Dufferin Acton Quarry is licensed to produce 4 million tonnes of aggregate annually. Original lime kilns still remain on the property today. Dufferin supports the Limehouse Kiln Society in their program to restore kilns in the area.
