Inscription. This stone is from the Grotto at Lourdes, France. Between February the 11th and July the 16th of 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared eighteen times to Saint Bernadette Soubirous in the Grotto of Massabielle near the French town of Lourdes. She asked for prayer and penance, and revealed herself as the Immaculate Conception.
