1. AGM-129 Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM) Marker

Inscription. The ACM was a low observable, subsonic, turbofan powered, and air-launched cruise missile designed and manufactured by General Dynamics. It began initial design in 1983 and made its first test flight in 1985. The first production ACM's were delivered to the Air Force in 1987 where it was exclusively by the B-52H “Stratofortress”. With the addition of two under-wing pylons each B-52 could carry up to 12 of these nuclear tipped weapons. The missile's long range and low observable characteristics gave the Air Force the ability to penetrate even the most advanced air defense systems without ever putting the aircraft or its crew in danger.

Following the end of the Cold War, production of the ACM was ceased. The 460 built ACM's were maintained here at Tinker AFB.
