1. Steichen House Marker

Inscription. Jean Pierre & Marie Steichen owned this house from 1904-1915. Their son, Edward Steichen, was considered "America's most celebrated Photographer.” Their daughter, Lilian. married "Author/Poet" Carl Sandburg on June 15, 1908. Their "shivaree” was held at this home.
