1. F-4D “Phantom II” Marker

Inscription. The F-4 was a tandem, supersonic, long-range, all-weather fighter-bomber built by McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Approximately 800 F-4D models helped provide the backbone of the USAF's fighter force during the war in Southeast Asia. Aircraft #66-7518 had a broad service career which spanned tours in South Korea and Vietnam. From 1982 through 1989, it was flown by a key Tinker AFB unit, the 507th Tactical Fighter Group.

The Oklahoma City ALC performed F-4 depot maintenance from July 1970 through June 1972 and produced over 7,600 of its J79 engines from 1966 until 1998.
