1. The Felt Estate Marker

Inscription.
This trail sits on a former two-track road through the Felt Estate, formerly known as Shore Acres Farm. Because Dorr Felt initially bought five farms and joined them into one estate, many roads went through the estate connecting the different farms. Along this trail you will see lines of walnut and maple trees. Dorr Felt tapped the maples each spring to create his own brand of maple syrup.

Built by inventor Dorr Felt in 1928, the Felt Mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places.
