Inscription. This 1½ storey brick house is a simple vernacular example of the Classic Revival style. The gabled front faηade, the low pitch roof with deep returned eaves, symmetrical window placement, off-centre door and wide cornice are typical features of this style. The house was built on a stone foundation with red brick walls in a Common Brick Bond.

During restoration, it was discovered that the house has a timber frame construction, similar to many barns of the era, but very unique for a house. It also became evident that the brick house was an addition to an older timber frame section, likely the original house on the property. This portion of the house had deteriorated significantly and was demolished in 2015.

The house was constructed in the early 19th century, likely by Jordan Munn, the son of Daniel and Millicent Munn who founded the former hamlet of Munn's Corners at Dundas Street and Sixth Line. In 2015, the house was relocated to its current site, approximately 200 metres to the northeast from its original location on Dundas Street.
