Inscription.

Remarkable architects and famous artists of the Renaissance period such as Bicci di Lorenzo, Michelozzo, Luca, Andrea and Giovanni della Robbia, Bernardo Buontalenti, Giulio Parigi, Giambologna have contributed to the extension and adorning of this monument.

Many of the works of art that have contributed to the enrichment of Santa Maria Nuova during the centuries are today part of the prestigious heritage of the 'Azienda Sanitaria di Firenze, the Local Health Authority of Florence. Some of these works of art are exposed to the public within the hospital along an artistic exhibition itinerary.
