Inscription. In memory of Rev. John Burns, 1769-1822, pastor, patriot and educator at Stamford and Niagara from 1804 to 1821, and to those pioneers who were also buried in unmarked graves in this cemetery. This Memorial is erected by the City of Niagara Falls with the assistance of the Province of Ontario on the 200th anniversary of the founding of religious services in the Township of Stamford.
