1. Mr. Edison’s Bougainvillea Marker
Inscription. Mr. Edison loved his Bougainvillea planted next to his Electric Lab built the same time as his home in 1886. When the lab was disassembled in 1928 and displayed at Greenfield Village in Deerfield Michigan. He wanted to save of the plant he called his vines (Bougainvillea).

A new Bougie was planted in 1947 and and it became this specimen. Photo was taken in 2016. In September 2017 Hurricane Irma unfortunately reduced the size considerably after the palms holding it up went down.
