Who?
Hicksville Historical Society (HHS) is made up of individuals, groups, & businesses dedicated to preserving Hicksville, Ohio's story. It is managed by a Board of Directors who are local residents passionate about connecting with our past. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in local history.

What?
Hicksville's Historical Society got its start in the 1970s when area citizens formed "The Friends of St. Paul's," a group dedicated to rescuing the 1875 Episcopal Church from its dilapidated state. The group's hard work resulted in the building being added to the National Register of Historic Places. A decade later, the group expanded their mission and changed their name of The Hicksville Historical Society, Inc.

Hicksville inventiveness begat the curly fry machine.

The first American woman to succeed as a broadway producer/manager (Amelia (Swilley) Bingham) was a Hicksville native.
