[English translation:]
Olinto Ceccarelli was so excellent an artist in striking and shaping iron that he recalled the glories of the Renaissance. He not only adorned and enriched palaces, churches, and villas in Florence and Tuscany, but also spread the precious examples of his work to foreign regions.
Here, the place where he lived, his native city proudly marks the addition to the ancient glories of the town with this art that, by giving beauty to metal, even when destined for destruction, promises a new future for Italy and humanity.
