1. Pleasant Grove Church of Christ Marker

Inscription. The church had its beginning in 1832, holding worship services in members' homes. Later these first members built a separate church building of hewed logs, and called themselves the Congress Church of Christ. In 1858 they replaced the log building with a lumber framed auditorium renaming themselves the Pleasant Gove Church of Christ. Except for a 1913 addition, this 1858 building served the church congregation and community for over 100 years, until 1969, when the current building and auditorium was built.
