Same Time Next Year at Richards House
Remodeling the hotel and adding an annex immediately to the north at 315 Maple around 1898 increased the number of rooms to 70. In 1932, "Woodlawn" at 310 Walnut (currently Evening Song Cottage) added 20 rooms. The house at 319 Maple was connected to the hotel and featured rooms upstairs with additional dining downstairs. At its prime, the Richards House had 90 units and a cafeteria with a capacity for 200 guests. At various times the building was also known as Hotel Richards and Poor Richards Inn.
In 1992, the hotel was converted to apartments and later sold as condominiums Today, its fourteen units are privately owned, and the building is managed by the Same Time Next Year Condominium Association.
