1. Water Tower Marker
The main house was originally built without running water or modern indoor plumbing. Later, the Roberts family supplied their home with water that was pumped from a well and stored on top of a water tower. A windmill supplied the power to pump water up to the tower. A small shower was added at the back of the house near the second floor stairway and gravity fed from the storage tank. If there was no breeze, the water had to be pumped by hand and forced up into the tower.
