Inscription. This tablet marks the headquarters of Colonel Benedict Arnold Sept. 21- 23, 1775 when he was the guest of Major Reuben Colburn during the transfer of his army of 1100 men and supplies from the transports to the 220 batteaux built by Major Colburn for the expedition to Quebec
