1. W.H. Rogers Marker
Inscription. He was the President of Inter-County R.E.C.C (Rural Electric Co-op Corp) who built and opened the first co-op substation in the county on June 10, 1938. The line consisted of 56 miles for electricity serving 115 homes. In 2013 we celebrated the 75th anniversary of this opening with 3,700 miles of line serving over 25,000 members over 12 counties. Our lives are much better because of his foresight and effort. He has our gratitude as well as our thanks.
