In loving appreciation and grateful memory of the young men and women of Lower Burrell Township, Westmoreland County, State of Pennsylvania, who have served in the Armed Forces of our country during World War II, we the Citizens of Lower Burrell Township dedicate and set aside this plaque as a permanent memorial in their honor, and in special honor of those who gave their lives for their country
