1. Canada's National Horse Marker
Inscription.
Known as "The Little Iron Horse," the Canadian Horse, Canada's National Horse since 2002, is the essence of power, dignity and grace. This breed, a steady and unfailing partner, once commonplace on Canadian farms during the 1800s, is showcased throughout Upper Canada Village. A dedicated team at the Village cares for these magnificent creatures and maintains a breeding program, along with other passionate Canadian Horse breeders across Canada. These breeding programs ensure the continuation of 'le cheval canadien'.
