Regarding Sterling Bank of Canada 1907. The Sterling Bank of Canada opened in 1905. After mergers in 1924, 1928 and 1961, it is one predecessor of CIBC. In 1907, this branch opened - the first and only bank branch ever within Port Dalhousie. The CIBC here closed in 1992. It now operates as a coffee shop.
