1. St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church 1833 - Marker

Inscription. The congregation of St. Andrew's was founded in 1802, with Peter Lampman, Adam Hutt, and George Miller as trustees. Worship first took place at the Town Hall, and later at a brick church building erected in 1859 at 17 Ormond Street North. In 1883, the cornerstone was laid for this church, drafted by architect Wm. R. Gregg of Toronto, and built of limestone in the neo-Gothic style with its central focus on the 'meetinghouse' design. St. Andrew's with its matching Church Hall addition (1927) is a proud and enduring landmark in the City of Thorold.
