We Will Never Forget

This monument stands in memory of all those who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.


On the morning of September 11, 2001, with clear blue skies, four airplanes departed from east coast cities; shortly after departure hijackers commandeered these planes.

7:59 AM...American Airlines Flight 11, departing from Boston to Los Angeles with 81 passengers and 11 crew members, crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at approximately 8:46 AM...
8:14 AM...United Airlines Flight 175 departs from Boston to Los Angeles with 56 passengers and 9 crew members aboard, crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center at approximately 9:03 AM...
8:20 AM...American Airlines Flight 77, departing from Washington D.C. Dulles Airport to Los Angeles with 58 passengers and 6 crew members aboard, crashed into the Pentagon at approximately 9:37 AM...
8:42 AM...United Airlines Flight 93, delayed 25 minutes, departs from Newark with 38 passengers and 7 crew members for San Francisco. It is believed that due to the delay the heroic passengers learned of the other hijackings through cell phone conversations with loved ones and attempted to take back control of the plane; diverting it from its intended

As a stunned nation was learning of these tragedies, The North and South Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed from the damage at 9:50 AM...and 10:29 AM...

This single steel girder represents and honors the strength and courage of over 3,000 people that were killed on this day. In particular the 343 New York City Firefighters, 23 NYC Police Officers and 37 Port Authority Police Officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while assisting the employees and visitors of the World Trade Center that September day.

The attacks were intended to break the spirit of the American people
But in the days that followed, we learned of the stories of heroism. Our nation unified in its grief.
