On the centenary of the birth of Altiero Spinelli (1907-1986), the Municipality of Rome honors the man who, with the Ventotene Manifesto drawn up during his confinement, hoped for a Europe free with Ernesto Rossi in 1941 and united in a federal state and dedicated his entire life to the enterprise of promoting its realisation.
