Regarding Grand Theater. The building opened as a movie theater in 1925, and remained a venue for second-run movies until the late-1990s, when it was converted into an event space. The buliding was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

In 2006, the theater was closed as part of a multi-million-dollar renovation that would restore it as a movie theater, but that restoration was never completed. As of September 2025, the building has remained unused for almost two decades, and the website printed on the theater's marquee appears
